One adaptive computer station is available on an adjustable-height table in the Library's Learning Commons (North Wing). A second adaptive station is available in Study Room #229, and includes a Juliet Braille Embosser & Duxbury Braille Translator. The key for Room #229 may be requested at the Service Desk on Kresge Library's 2nd floor. In addition to the software available on all of the Library's research computers, the Adaptive Stations provide the following software and come equipped with large-print keyboards and noise-canceling headphones/microphones:

The University Libraries is committed to making its facilites physically accessible in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, but this is a work in progress. For access to materials or resources in libraries, please contact the library staff or the Disability Support Services office.
Upon request, staff at the Service Desk will retrieve materials from the collections. To request an item, click on the "Make a Request" button in the catalog and enter your Student ID number and last name. Select the Pull for Pick Up option. You may pick up materials at the Service Desk. Patrons are encouraged to bring an assistant if a large number of materials must be retrieved. If your disability makes it difficult for you to visit the physical Library, please do not hesitate to contact the library staff or the Disability Support Services office for assistance.
If patrons are registered with Disability Support Services and need to return library materials, please contact the Service Desk at 248-370-4425. Access Services staff can coordinate a pick-up of library materials on Circle Drive.
Staff at the Service Desk and at the Technology Help Desk, on the 2nd floor of Kresge Library, will help patrons needing assistance with printing. In addition, the printing stations in both the North and South wings have a print-release station set at a wheelchair-friendly height.

OU librarians offer customized tours and instruction to facilitate learning about library resources and services. Library guides will be made available in other formats upon request.
