Online Donations

Many supporters of the Oakland University's Libraries find that giving monetary gifts online is the easiest way to support the Libraries. Your tax-deductible gift will help us acquire essential library resources and will ensure that we can continue to provide exemplary teaching and services for OU's students, faculty, and staff.

Library Gifts - Books and Online Resources

Helps us develop highly relevant collections and a diverse range of scholarly information, including online databases, indexes, journals, and multimedia resources.

Charter Challenge Endowment

Supports critical archiving and preservation activities. A percentage of the funds from the endowment are used annually, with the principal balance remaining intact.

Krompart-Hildebrand Digitization Gift Fund

Supports the digitization of archival and special collections materials for access and preservation purposes.

Phillip and Barbara Williams Endowed Fund for the Kresge Library

GLBT Literature & Resource Center

Supports the Robert Gaylor Collection which helps people learn about Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBT) people and the issues important to that community. As Professor Gaylor, a former OU librarian stated, "We want this community resource to be a living collection, a loved collection; one that has pertinence today and in the future."

Dr. Jane M. Bingham Endowment for the Historical Children's Literature Collection

This endowment supports scholarly research using the Bingham Collection at Kresge Library, DEI goals through Bingham Collection research; and preservation needs of the collection.

Affordable Education Materials Gift Fund

Gifts to this fund will support efforts to reduce expensive textbook costs for students and include initiatives to expand the use of “open” (free or low cost) textbooks and course materials.
