Outreach Services

Mission

Outreach services focuses on encouraging communication related to topical issues. The library often hosts panel discussions, inviting members of the faculty, student body, university staff and community members to promote an open dialog.

Goals

The goal of library outreach services is to have a positive influence on the academic careers of students by increasing their exposure to the library and representing librarians as approachable and responsive to their needs. In an effort to accomplish this, we strive to further interactions with a diverse student population and focus on a variety of multicultural and gender/sexuality centered initiatives. In addition we actively seek opportunities to foster connections and partnerships with various campus departments, faculty members, and the outside community.
