The mission of the Circulation and Reserves team is to support access to Kresge Library resources for teaching, learning, and research at Oakland University.
ACCESSING MATERIALS
The Circulation and Reserves team provides access to a variety of circulating materials including books, music CDs, and DVDs, as well as the in-house use of laptops and course reserve materials. Team members also provide access to reservable study spaces for both active students and faculty, including rooms which accommodate from 4 to 35 people. The team is committed to timely and accurate re-shelving of all library materials after use, and actively supports Collection Support Services through compilation of usage statistics, regular weeding of materials, and space planning.
COURSE RESERVE MATERIALS
The Course Reserves Specialist and other team members provide access to physical and electronic course reserves. Course Reserves’ goal is to insure that required and supplemental reading materials are available and accessible to active students, while complying with United States Copyright Law and Kresge Library guidelines.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
The Circulation and Reserves team provides quality customer support to students, faculty, and community members by providing access to information in various formats, and is committed to superior customer service that values confidentiality, professionalism, and respect for cultural and linguistic diversity. It is the goal of the Circulation team to reflect the University’s mission to foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment.
