Records of the School of Nursing (1975-2001)

 

The nursing program started at OU when Providence Hospital contacted the university in order to begin a cooperative effort to build a bachelor of science nursing degree at Oakland University. As a result, 300 nursing students started taking nonclinical courses at OU in Fall 1974 and a full B.S. N. was soon created. In July 1975 a new School of Nursing was set up.

The records of the School of Nursing include administrative files from the Dean's office, files from the various faculty committees, curriculum and academic files, publications and events, research files as well as an array of subject files.
