History

Enrollment increases of 37% between 2008 and 2012 led Oakland University officials to begin preparations for expanding student housing options.  Oak View Hall, Oakland University's newest dormitory and student center, provides over 500 students with the opportunity to enjoy residential living on campus.

Geared towards incoming freshman and sophomore students, the dormitory is designed in  apartment-style fashion, allowing residents to better connect with each other for a greater sense of community.

In addition to the over 450 residential suites, Oak View Hall features a small cafe and private and public study and meeting rooms. It is the new site of Oakland University's Honors College.
