Banquet Room B.
In a unique event that is part performance art, part lecture, and part fake fur, the Guerrilla Girls will visit Oakland University to entertain audiences while fighting exclusionism and discrimination. During the presentation, which will be followed by a question and answer period, the Guerrilla Girls will be performing skits with audience members and sharing excerpts from their latest book, “Bitches, Bimbos and Ballbreakers: The Guerrilla Girls Illustrated Guide to Female Stereotypes.” They will also speak about the creation of the unique and powerful posters, books, and installations they use to redefine feminism. Sponsored by the departments of Teacher Development and Educational Studies, Art and Art History, and Women’s Studies, the Guerrilla Girls presentation is free and open to the public.
