Biographical note

Keith Kleckner joined the new OU School of Engineering in 1966 as an Associate Professor and was promoted to Full Professor in 1971. He served as Assistant to the Dean for Graduate Studies from 1970-1976. In 1977 he was appointed Associate Provost and on Dec. 16, 1981 he was named Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, a post he held until 1992. He then returned to the teaching faculty and was awarded emeritus status upon his retirement in 2001.
