History
The Entry-Year Committee was one of 3 committees established by the Senate in the fall of 1978 to study the feasibility of an entry-year program at Oakland University. The other committees were for general education, and sports and recreation. They were part of the implementation of the new university strategic plan, called the "University Planning Document."
Scope and Contents note
The Entry Year Committee collection consists of correspondence and other documents generated by the committee and destined for the university senate. The collection was artificially assembled from miscellaneous orphaned materials found in the university archives.
