History
Since Oakland University graduated its first class in 1963 with 125 members, the Alumni Association (OUAA) has helped connect alumni with each other and their alma mater. A 21-member OUAA Board of Directors governs the Alumni Association and is called upon by the university to give advice on matters relating to alumni. The OUAA is a program managed through the Office of Alumni Relations
Scope and Contents note
The records of the Oakland University Alumni Association contain materials produced by the OUAA since its inception. The administrative files contain memos, correspondence, and other internal documents fromn 1962 to 2005. The events series contain materials relating to events organized by the OUAA, including alumni reunions since the 1980s. Charter Class reunion materials cover milestone reunions such as the 40th and 50th reunions. These events are also documented in the photograph series.
