Our
library catalog system is called Voyager. It has many powerful
functions some of which you will be introduced to in the library
instruction you will receive in Rhetoric 160. For the purposes
of this exercise, we are going to assume that you are looking
for a book on your topic to check out of the library.
In order
to proceed with this exercise it is important for you to identify
your topic: what is a good term to describe it? Can it be said
in a single word, e.g. education?
Or is it better said in a short phrase, e.g. higher
education? Or is it better conveyed by two different
subjects combined with the word and,
e.g. education and Michigan? Write
down some keywords to search by, and then to begin the tutorial,
