Kresge Library

Full Text Links in Google Scholar

If you are using Google Scholar on the OU campus, you will automatically see Get It @ Kresge Library links next to each article in your results. Those links allow you with one click to check if Kresge Library has the full text of the article either online or in print.

Get It @ Kresge Library

If you are off campus, you can still have the full text links through Kresge Library. There are two ways to activate them:

Going through the Kresge login

Instead of going directly to Google Scholar, you can go through the Kresge login, which will activate the full text links. You will find such proxied links to Google Scholar on the library website under:

  • Find Articles » Databases A to Z
  • Find Articles » Databases by Subject

You are also welcome to bookmark our proxied link to Google Scholar on your computer, which will prompt you to fill out the Kresge login. Just right-click on the link below and choose "Bookmark This Link."

Changing your Google Scholar preferences

If you don't want to login before using Google Scholar, you can still activate the Get It @ Kresge Library links by changing your Scholar Preferences.

  1. Click "Scholar Preferences" to the right of the search box.

  2. In the "Library Links" area, type "Oakland University" and you'll be given a chance to select the "Get It @ Kresge Library" service.

  3. Be sure to "Save Preferences" at the bottom of the page.

Now you'll see the full text "Get It @ Kresge Library" links next to your article results, but you don't have to login until you click on one of the links.
