Native America in the Twentieth Century. (Ref. E 76.2 .N36 1994) There is a good essay on art with many cross references.

Encyclopedia of North American Indians. (Ref. E 76.2 .E53 1996) Extensive essays on arts, pre-1960 and post 1960.

Encyclopedia of American Indian Costume. (Ref. E 98 .C8 P37 1994)

History of the Indian Tribes of the United States. (Ref. E 77 .S383 1975a) This is a six-volume set and there are sections on the arts in each volume.
