Research Consultations

The Medical Library offers one-on-one research consultation sessions to all students, faculty and staff to discuss your in-depth information needs for coursework, curriculum development, scholarly activities, and more including literature search strategies for capstone projects. Sign up for a session using our Research Consultation Calendar, or visit our staff directory to schedule a meeting with one of us directly.

Collection Development

Collection development at the OUWB Medical Library is driven by the curriculum and done in partnership with the teaching faculty. The preferred format is electronic, unless otherwise requested. The library does purchase print copies of all required and recommended texts, which are kept on reserve in the Medical Library Study Room (KL 102). Requests from faculty and students are given high priority for acquisition. Library faculty serve as liaisons to the various disciplines and courses, and collaborate with teaching faculty to identify and acquire resources, develop web pages and finding aids, and provide instruction in information mastery.
