Off-Campus Access to Library Databases

When accessing some resources listed on the Kresge Library Web Site from off campus, you may be prompted for a name and ID number by the library database access system (a proxy server - see the screenshot below). Follow the instructions on the screen to log in. If you have any difficulty, Ask a Librarian for help.Screenshot of the Kresge Library Database Access page

University Libraries - Remote Access Policies/Procedures (Revised: 7/9/12)

The University Libraries provide remote access to licensed databases for all currently enrolled students who are registered in OU courses that are creditable toward a degree or other formal award, and all currently employed faculty/staff. Retired faculty and visiting scholars may request access by e-mailing the Libraries’ Manager of Embedded Systems.

Access can never be granted to further for-profit research or consulting.  Data mining or other activities that violate our database licenses will result in the loss of remote access privileges.
