Your donation to this fund will support critical archiving and preservation activities, such as technology to transfer reel-to-reel movies to DVD, and materials for preserving photographs, clippings and newspapers. The Charter Challenge Endowment Fund will help the Kresge Library ensure the safekeeping of the history of Oakland University . At Oakland University, an endowed fund is established for a specific educational purpose. Once established with $25,000, a percentage of the funds from the endowment are used annually, with the principal balance remaining intact. As the endowment grows, so will the amount of funding available for use. This enables the endowment to live on perpetually—in this case, continually supporting the preservation of the University’s history. |
