Oakland University Joins MeLCat
Oakland University joined the Michigan electronic Library Catalog (MeLCat) on January 16th, 2007. MeLCat is a statewide union catalog
of many types of Michigan libraries. MeLCat allows the user to search the catalog and to place requests to borrow items from other participating libraries.
At present only circulating books, government documents and some audio visual materials are available through the system.
Items are generally available for a three-week period with one renewal.
To search and request, Oakland University patrons must logon
by using their name and Grizzly Number. Users are notified by email when items arrive.
All materials must be picked up at Oakland University's Kresge Library.
To request an item go to MeLCat. To check the status of a request and to renew an item go to My MeL.
