MINUTES OF THE MEETING

November 18, 1960
Chancellor Varner recommends that Michigan
State University-Oakland be authorized to operate on a trimester
plan effective September 1, 1961.
On motion by Mr. Vanderploeg, seconded by Mr.
Stevens, it was voted to approve the above recommendation
from Chancellor Varner.
Appointment of Lottie J. Vincent as Assistant
in Mathematics at $6600 from November 21, 1960 to July 31,
1962.
Personnel action:
Reclassification of a Typist-Dictaphone Operator
to a Supervisor II position at Michigan State University-Oakland,
paid from 91-9681.
Bids were received for the construction of the
Science Building at Michigan State University-Oakland:

It is recommended that the contract for the
award of the elevator bid be deferred at this time. It is

On motion by Mr. Harlan, seconded by Mr. Stevens,
it was voted to approve awarding the general, mechanical
and electrical contracts to the low bidders on the Science
Building at MSU-O.
Gift for Scholarship Fund:
$279 from the General Motors Girls' Club of Pontiac for
a student at Michigan State University-Oakland.
Grant of $25 from the Women's Association of the Kirk in
the Hills Church of Bloomfield Hills to be used under the
direction of John Galloway in the Art Department at Michigan
State University-Oakland for the purchase of some art object.
