June 14, 1957
Authorization to purchase 27,319 acres of land in the SW
¼ of Section 18, Avon Township, Oakland County, Michigan,
now surrounded by the Wilson estate, at a total purchase price
of $27,500.
On motion by Mr. Brody, seconded by Dr. Smith, it was
voted to approve the above item. (Purchased from Wm. E.
and Marilyn Hanson)
Discussion of the possible acquisition of the balance of
the property in Avon Township surrounded by the Wilson estate.
On motion by Mr. Brody, seconded by Dr. Smith, it was
voted to approve the above item. Mr. Varner and Mr. Carr
were authorized to negotiate with the owners of this property,
within certain terms and conditions, with the understanding
that if necessary they can complete the transaction prior
to the next Board meeting with the details to be reported
