Biology effective April 30, 1964.
Resignation of Nat Simons, Jr. as Assistant Professor of
Economics effective August 14, 1964.
Resignation of James L. Cooper as Instructor of History effective
August 14, 1964.
Resignation of Theodore L. Becker as Assistant Professor
of Political Science effective August 14, 1964.
Resignation of Norman Roseman as Assistant Professor of Teacher
Education effective August 14, 1964.
Leave of absence for Robert I. Facko as Instructor of Music
from September 1, 1964 to August 31, 1965 for study for doctorate
at Columbia.
Appointment of Don Robert Iodice as Assistant Professor of
Modern Foreign Languages at $9000 effective August 15, 1964
Reinstatement on the payroll of William Schwab, Associate
Professor of English, effective April 1, 1964. Dr. Schwab
has been on leave without pay since September 1, 1963.
Approval of Summer School payroll in the total amount of
$70,572 for regular staff members for the 1964 summer session.
Gifts to the scholarship committee:
$483 from America's Junior Miss Scholarship Foundation,
Inc., of Mobile, Alabama
$300 from Consumers Power Company of Pontiac
$111 from the Community National Bank Advisory Committee
$50 from Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Burke of Rochester
$5 from Mrs. Robert DeRuntz
$25 from Stephen Miklos of Romeo
Grants as follows to be used under the direction of Chancellor
Varner for the 1964 Meadow Brook Music Festival:
$2,500 from Consumers Power Company of Pontiac
$500 from First Federal Savings and Loan Association of
Oakland of Pontiac
$5,000 from the United Auto Workers of Detroit
$2,500 from the Wayne Oakland Bank of Royal Oak
On motion by Mr. Nisbet, seconded by Mr. Stevens, it
