MINUTES OF THE MEETING
of the
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
February 16, 1957

Receipt of the following letter from the Avon Township office of Oakland County:

"The members of the Avon Township Board, as well as the citizens of the Township, are keenly appreciative of the generous actions of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred G. Wilson and Miss Sarah Van Hoosen Jones in making valuable gifts of property and money to Michigan State University. It is with great pleasure and satisfaction that we anticipate the prospect of a university in our midst.

"At this time we assure you of our complete cooperation in planning and preparing for a college community which will certainly be a wonderful asset to the County of Oakland and the State of Michigan." (p.3)
