MINUTES OF THE MEETING
of the
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
January 15, 1959
In order to open three bank accounts in the
Michigan State University-Oakland area, it is necessary to
have Board approval of the following resolutions:

Resolved that P. J. May, Vice President
and Treasurer, is hereby authorized to deposit any funds
coming into his hands as Treasurer in the Community
National Bank of Pontiac, Pontiac, Michigan, in the
name of the State Board of Agriculture, Michigan State
University-Oakland, and funds may be withdrawn by checks
signed by any one of the following: P. J. May, Vice
President and Treasurer; M. R. Pierson, Assistant Treasurer. |

Resolved that P. J. May, Vice President and Treasurer,
is hereby authorized to deposit any funds coming into
his hands as Treasurer in the Pontiac State Bank, Pontiac,
Michigan, in the name of the State Board of Agriculture,
Michigan State University-Oakland, and funds may be withdrawn
by checks signed by any one of the following: P. J. May,
Vice President and Treasurer; M. R. Pierson, Assistant
Treasurer. |
No resolution is necessary to open an account in the National
Bank of Detroit, Rochester Office, since the Board has previously
approved the National Bank of Detroit as a depository.
On motion of Mr. Rouse, seconded by Mr. Harlan, it was
voted to approve Item 3.
Designation of Vice President D. B. Varner as the administrative
head of Michigan State University-Oakland with the exact title
to be determined later, to be effective at once. (p.33)
