Public Computer Policies

The use our public computers is governed by the University's "Use of University Information Technology Resources" Policy, #890. Additionally, the following use rules apply:

Public computers are only available to University Faculty, Students, and Staff
- Note: Oakland University does not operate an open public access network in order to comply with many regulations. We ask that you authenticate to support the university in its efforts to be leagally compliant.
Valid University ID is required to check out laptop computers
No altering computers in any way (software or hardware)
No moving equipment or tables
No excessive game playing, you may be asked to leave if all public computers are full

Violation of these rules, or any provision of policy #890, is grounds for diciplinary action as stated in sections 8.2-8.8.
