The Annual Sigma Xi Initiation and Dinner for 2007

Stanford R. Ovshinsky- "Energy and Information: Problems and Solutions"
The Sigma Xi annual public lecture will be Tuesday, April 3, 2007. The guest speaker will be Stanford R. Ovshinsky, the president and chief scientist and technologist of Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. (ECD Ovonics) in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The title of his talk will be "Energy and Information: Problems and Solutions". He is the winner of Sigma Xi's 2007 Walston Chubb Award for Innovation, to honor and promote creativity in science and engineering. The talk will start at 4 pm in 201 Dodge Hall.*

The Annual Sigma Xi Initiation and Dinner will be held in the evening on Tuesday, April 3, in the Christopher Wren Dinning Room of Meadow Brook Hall. The Banquet will begin at 7:00 pm. You can arrive between 6:00 and 7:00 and gather in the Great Hall (tours of Meadow Brook Hall will be available).*
