join Oakland University in welcoming acclaimed
author Patricia Henley. Henley will read from
her fiction on Thursday, Feb. 12, at
4 p.m. on
the
campus
of Oakland University in Rochester. The reading,
followed by a book signing, will be held in Banquet
Room A of the Oakland
Center.

Henley is a novelist, poet, and short story
writer. Her first novel, Hummingbird House (1999),
was a finalist for the National Book Award and
the New Yorker Best Fiction Award. She has published
two volumes of poetry and three collections of
short stories, including Worship of the Common
Heart: New and Selected Stories. Her most recent
novel is In the River Sweet (2002). For more information,
