Far Field Retreat for Writers

At The Far Field Retreat writers will have the opportunity to study the craft of poetry, fiction, writing for children, or non-fiction writing with faculty who are committed teachers and prominent writers both locally and nationally. The retreat, held on Oakland University 's campus, will be May 17-20, 2007. The retreat takes its name from Theodore Roethke's poem, "The Far Field."
