Lotfi A. Zadeh -- "What is Fuzzy Logic and What are its Applications"
Lofti Zadeh Please join Oakland University in welcoming Lotfi Zadeh to our campus Thursday at 3:00 PM on November 7 2002 in the Meadow Brook Theatre. introduced the term "fuzzy sets" in 1965 in his paper "Fuzzy Sets," Information and Control, vol. 8, pp. 388-353, 1965 (Oakland University Library Holdings for this Journal). Since that time, he has been widely recognized as a leader in the field of soft computing. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors related to his research in this field.
