Databases

Use these databases to find articles from the periodical literature: scholarly, practitioner and trade journals.

ABI/Inform is one of the premier databases for the literature of business, management and related fields--including careers and human resources. Publications include scholarly business journals as well as trade and practitioner journals, with over 80% full text content. You can limit to the HR field by using a classification code 6???

Business Source Premier is another excellent business database which in addition to periodical articles includes full-text company and industry information..

ERIC

The comprehensive database for the field of education by its nature has a significant representation of training and development literature. It is divided into journal articles from scholarly and practitioner journals, and ERIC documents which include books, conference papers, research reports, curricula--a wide and heterogeneous body of literature.

PsycInfo is the most comprehensive index to psychology and related disciplines including counseling, industrial and business psychology, and training and development. It indexes primarily scholarly articles from peer-reviewed journal but also includes some practitioner journals.

REFWORKS

Refworks is a resource which allows OU students to maintain a personal database of all of their research materials. You can:

1. create a database of citations

2. use the Cite While You Write feature to insert references while writing your paper, and

3. generate a bibliography in APA style along with hundreds of different formats.

Set up an account, and then choose the "export" function in the databases you use for records you want to save.
