FirstSearch via WilsonSelect
Good general purpose database, contains articles from a large variety of subject areas. Includes articles from scholarly journals and popular magazines.
InfoTrac OneFile
Good general purpose database, contains articles from a large variety of subject areas. Includes articles from scholarly journals and popular magazines
Lexis-Nexis
Excellent place to find current newspaper articles. Indexes full-text articles for most major papers. Follow these steps to locate articles from major papers in the US.
- Click on Power Search
- Under Select Sources select U.S. Newspapers & Wires
- Enter your search keywords using search connectors
- Limit by date to reduce results

Google Scholar
You can go into the preferences for scholar and set the Kresge Library as your proxy library, to get access from off-campus. Also, you can export from Scholar into RefWorks.
