Finding Books

Library Catalog

Use the Library Catalog to find books and journals, both print and online. For example, Journal of research in childhood education is available on the 4th floor under the call number LB 1028 .J69. In addition, this journal is available online through Academic OneFile.

Finding Articles

1. ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) - A good place to find articles and reports in all aspects of education.
2. PsycINFO & PsycArticles - These two databases contain many scholarly items on any topic related to childhood development.
3. Academic OneFile - Because of its size and breadth, Academic OneFile is the best place to go if you only need a few good articles. This huge database contains many scholarly articles.
4. Education:SAGE Full-Text - Here you'll find the contents of 36 full-text journals from SAGE including the American Educational Research Journal.
5. New York Times Historical Collection (1851-2004) Here you'll find the full-image of the New York Times. Remarkable!
6. JSTOR & Project MUSE - These two are great collections of scholary, full-image articles.
