Use the catalog to find books we have in the Kresge Library. Also use the catalog to see if we have access to a particular journal title on-line or in print.

MELCat
Allows you to search for books from other Michigan Libraries and request them directly. Books will come to the library, and you will be notified via e-mail. Usually takes about a week.

Interlibrary Loans via ILLIAD
We don't have your article electronically or in-print?
Use ILL and we'll find the item for you from another library. "Get It" links that are in the databases will take you directly to the ILLIAD request forms. Articles come via e-mail. Usually takes about a week.

Opposing Viewpoints
A database that brings together all the information that’s needed to understand an issue: pro and con viewpoint articles, reference articles that provide context, full-text magazines, academic journals, etc.

Academic OneFile
Good general purpose database, contains articles from a large variety of subject areas. Includes articles from scholarly journals and popular magazines.

WilsonSelect
Another good general purpose database, contains articles from a large variety of subject areas. Includes articles from scholarly journals and popular magazines.

Lexis-Nexis
Excellent place to find current newspaper articles. Indexes full-text articles for most major papers. Follow these steps to locate articles or reviews from major papers in the US.

• Click on Power Search
• Under Sources select U.S. Newspapers & Wires
• Enter your search keywords using search connectors.
• Note that you can specify dates.
