Use the Library Catalog to find the location of books, journals, government documents, audiovisual items and other material in Kresge Library. For example, the Journal of Counseling and Development is available on the 4th floor under the call number HF 5381 .A1 P45. In addition, this journal is available online through Academic OneFile.

Finding Articles

PsycINFO

1887 - present; includes journal articles, books & book chapters, dissertations. This is the best database for counselors.

PsycARTICLES

Full-text coverage of 58 psychology journals, many of them from APA. PsycARTICLES is a subset of PsycINFO.

ERIC

1966 - present; includes articles from magazines & journals (EJ) plus reports and other documents (ED). Good place to find information for school settings.

JSTOR

A ton of full-text education journals!!

Academic OneFile

Full-text database covering many subject areas (1980 - present) with lots of scholarly material.

Mental Measurements

A good place if you need information and reviews on test instruments. This database correspondes to the print version of the same name from the ninth volume to the present date.

Dissertation Abstracts

Find out if there are any dissertations written on your topic!

Who has cited my work?

Look here for ways to find out who has cited a key publication in your field.

 

In these databases, if an article is not available online, use the feature to identify if the article is available online in another database or in print in the library.
