To find books about the art of a particular country, use the subject heading e.g. Art, Russian. There are also form headings for specific genres, e.g. Sculpture, Roman. To find works by a particular artist, search his or her name as an author; to find works about that artist, search the name as a subject heading, e.g. Kandinsky. Many aesthetic movements or schools of art will have their own distinctive subject headings, e.g. Fauvism or Classicism in Art.

This online archive collects the complete back issues of 641 important titles in the humanities, social sciences and other learned disciplines. It does not cover current issues for any of its titles; to see if we have current issues for a particular journal check our Voyager catalog.
This is a collection of current issues of 300 high quality humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from 60 scholarly publishers.
The Dictionary of Art. (Ref. N 31 .D5 1996) The single most extensive encyclopedia of art owned by the library, it is international in scope, compiled by experts and contains both excellent illustrations and bibliographies for further research. Unlike the database, the 34 volumes of the printed book permit multiple user access!
Encyclopedia of World Art. (Ref. N 31 .E533; 17 vols.)
Until the publication of the previous entry, this was the scholarly encyclopedia of art par excellence and still is a very valuable resource for its scholarship, illustrations and bibliographies.
